The Village of East Nassau
is accepting applications for a parttime code enforcement officer/building
inspector position. The successful applicant will work with our current
CEO/Building Inspector in supporting the community to maintain adherence to the
Village Land Use Regulations.
Duties
include:
- Maintainance of computer
and paper files tracking building activities and permits in the
Village;
- Investigation of reported
violations of municipal resolutions, ordinances and codes;
- Pursuit of voluntary
compliance and direct enforcement when necessary;
- Execution of field
inspections;
- Presentation of periodic
reports to the Village Board;
- other duties as required by
the Village Board.
Candidates must be NYS
certified Code Enforcement Officers or be willing to become certified within
three years of accepting the position. Candidates should submit letters of
