Public Notice: Tax Cap Law introduced - hearing scheduled for 8 February 2012
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Local Law No. 1 of 2012 has been introduced
for by the Board of Trustees of the Village of East Nassau, for purposes of
commencing the adoption process. The proposed Local Law No. 1 would allow the
Board of Trustees to override the tax levy limit of 2% imposed by Chapter 97 of the Laws of 2011.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE thata public hearing on proposed Local Law
No. 1 of 2012 will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of East
Nassau at the Hoags Corners Ambulance Building, located on Town Garage Road, in
Hoags Corners, Village of East Nassau, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 6:45
p.m. for the purpose of providing an opportunity for interested individuals to
comment on the proposed local law as described above.Written comments addressed to the Board of
Trustees will also be accepted at the hearing, or may be mailed
to the Village office address, or e-mailed to public-comment@villageofeastnassau.org.
For written comments to be considered by the Board, your name and home address

Public Notice: Village of East Nassau Offices To Be Filled

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following offices for the Village of East
Nassau will need to be filled:Village
Mayor, with a term of office of two (2) years and the Board of Trustees, two
(2) positions, each with a term of office of two (2) years. Village elections
will be held on Tuesday, March 20th, 2012.Interested parties should contact the Village Clerk at PO Box 268, East
Nassau, NY 12062; phone (518) 794-0289.
As of Sunday, November 20th, 2011 the
Village Clerk will be accepting absentee ballot applications.

Help Beautify East Nassau!
The East Nassau Village Board passed a resolution naming areas targeted for beautification. The board envisions volunteers coming together to plan landscaping ideas to make our village welcoming.
The areas designated are:
The Village Square Flag Pole at Garfield Rd. and Rt. 66
Tsatsawassa Lake Road and Rt. 66
Bath Township and Tsatsawassa Lake Rd.
Dunham Hollow Rd. and Rt. 66 (Hoags Corners)
Tasks include:
Organizing volunteer days
Creating a Landscaping Plan (flowers, plants, etc..)
